Come join the Beaverhead Watershed Committee, in conjunction with Bureau of Reclamation and Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, to explore and develop management strategies and/or pilot projects that improve the environmental health of the Beaverhead Watershed. The Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology will discuss a hydrogeological characterization of the Lower Beaverhead River Valley. Long-term ground-water hydrographs, stream flow, water chemistry, and stream depletion evaluations will be presented. Dick Oswald from Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks will also be discussing minimum river flows and historic releases from Clark Canyon Reservoir. A discussion period will be held to further define priorities and future projects. The meeting will take place on Monday, April 6th at 6:30 P.M. at the Search and Rescue Building in Dillon (behind the National Guard Armory).
The Beaverhead Watershed Committee will meet prior to the Environmental Health Program meeting at 5:15 P.M. We will discuss the status of current grants and projects.
The public is invited.
