posted in: News & Media | 0

Come join the Beaverhead Watershed Committee, in conjunction with Bureau of Reclamation and Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, to explore and develop management strategies and/or pilot projects that improve the environmental health of the Beaverhead Watershed.  The Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology will be giving an overview of the study they will be conducting on the westside of the Lower Beaverhead River Valley.  Landowners are encouraged to come look at the study area maps and potential test well locations.  The Bureau of Reclamation will be discussing winter operations of Clark Canyon Reservoir as well as the sediment study on the Upper Beaverhead.  A discussion period will be held to further define priorities and future projects.  The meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 20th at 7 P.M. at the Search and Rescue Building in Dillon (behind the National Guard Armory).

The Beaverhead Watershed Committee will meet prior to the Environmental Health Program meeting at 6 P.M.  We will discuss the status of current grants and projects.

The public is invited.

Thank you,
