Poindexter Slough Celebration and Tour – March 31st – 4:30 pm

For the past 5 years the Beaverhead Watershed Committee has been working with landowners, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, the Dillon Canal Company and various other partners on the Poindexter Slough Fishery Enhancement project.  We are excited to announce that we completed all of the irrigation infrastructure improvements and a significant amount of the in-stream habitat work (2.25 miles!) this winter.  The final phase of habitat enhancement is planned for the lower 2.5 miles of channel downstream of the Dillon Canal to the Beaverhead River.   This phase will be completed once all the funding is secured.

The Beaverhead Watershed Committee would like to thank you for your support of the Poindexter Slough Fishery Enhancement project.  We will be celebrating the work done this winter with a tour of the project followed by pizza and beer at the Beaverhead Brewing Company on Tuesday, March 31st.  The tour will start at 4:30 pm, meet at 1430 Carrigan Lane.  We hope to see you there!
