Watershed Coordinator: Jamie Cottom
Jamie Cottom is the district administrator for the Beaverhead Conservation District in Dillon, MT. Jamie received her B.S. in Business Management from Montana State University in 2008 and a second B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Montana Western in 2014. Jamie grew up on a bison ranch in southwest Montana where she learned to love the outdoors, agriculture, and natural resources. She is an active member of the Beaverhead Ski Patrol at Maverick Mountain and strives to run a half marathon each year. When she is not busy working, Jamie enjoys downhill skiing, backpacking, gardening, traveling near and far, baking giant cookies, and spending time with her husband Ryan, daughter Harper, and newfoundland Winston.
Assistant Watershed Coordinator: Zach Owen
Zach Owen is the Assistant Watershed Coordinator for the Beaverhead Watershed Committee. He received his BS in Environmental Studies from Utah State University. He has worked in Montana with different agencies and groups doing all kinds of field work, grant administration and conservation projects. He’s excited to be working in Southwest Montana and to be able to help the local community with their watershed needs.
Big Sky Watershed Corps Member: Megan Guy
Megan Guy is the 2017 Big Sky Watershed Corps Member for the Beaverhead Conservation District in Dillon, Montana. Megan received her B.S. in Geology with a focus in water resources from University of Dayton in 2015. Megan grew up outside of farming communities in southwest Ohio where she found her passion for protecting the natural environment. During her free time, she enjoy hiking, reading, kayaking, playing guitar, and being with friends. Megan is excited to spend the year in working to help protect the beaverhead watershed!
